History Crooked Creek Conservation & Gun Club, Inc. was founded
during the 1930's as a private membership entity. It was originally situated at
Michigan Road and Kessler Boulevard in Indianapolis, IN. The club moved out to a
site near Michigan Road and W 96th Street just after World War II where we were
in continuous operation for approximately 47 years. In 1994 we moved the club
out to its present location at 246th Street and State Route 213 in Noblesville,
IN.
Our club has a membership and is also open to the Public.
Crooked
Creek is operated entirely by volunteers and has no paid employees.
Organizationally, Crooked Creek is governed by a Board of Directors composed of
a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. When you join the club you
have the option of receiving a key to the grounds. You can come out and enjoy
the grounds whenever you wish. Your membership also includes your spouse and any
dependents that you have living with you. You can bring out guests to use the
facilities during regular business hours, however after a few visits, we
encourage the guests to join. By joining the club you also agree to work two
days a year to maintain the property and grounds.
As of September
2003, Crooked Creek is now open to the general public. We are open for the
general public on Wednesdays and Saturdays. You will be able to shoot Skeet,
Trap, 5-Stand and use the clubhouse facilities,
Sept 1 thru April 30, but will not be able to use the dog
training area. Those are reserved for Members only. A membership application and
waiver form can be obtained by clicking on the links below.
