The Skeet shooting page has been updated to include the 2008 ISSA Registered & Non Registered Events, 2008 State Skeet Championship Brochure, and the 2008 ISSA News Letter.
Here are some of the highlights of the club meeting held on 6/26/08.
Shooting Fees - The cost of shooting clay targets at Crooked Creek has gone up. Member prices for Skeet & trap are now $3.00 and non-member prices have increased to $5.00 per round. Sporting Clays has increased to $10.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members.
Indiana State Skeet Shoot - We could still use some help scoring and helping out for this three day shoot. Contact Dennis if you can help for a day.
Sporting Clays Shoots - We will host the Boy Scout shoot on Friday and the Ronald McDonald House Shoot on Saturday the first week after the state skeet shoot. It was decided to eliminate the 5-stand since no one shot it last year and limit the course to 10 stations with 1 machine per station. Trappers will be taking groups out from the club house and staying with them all the way around the course. All targets will be shot as report pair. We could use some help setting up for this event, so if you are able to help us for a day. Please contact Dennis.
Membership Dues - The board discussed raising the membership dues and changing the election date of officers for the new year. The dues increase was deemed necessary due to the high cost of maintaining the grounds (fuel price for mowing). The election of officers would be moved back to the end of January or February where it was 8 or 10 years ago. The board tabled both discussions to a later date when all members were present.
Shooting Instructors
A list of Instructors who are Crooked Creek Members and are willing to teach at the club, are now posted on the club information page.

Members with Special Skills We are looking to identify Crooked Creek Members with special skills. The type of special skills we are interested in knowing about deal with Hunting, Shooting and Dog Training. Here are some examples: Certified Skeet Instructors, Certified Sporting Clays Instructors, Certified Hunter Safety Instructors, NRA Instructors, Professional Dog Trainers, ect. If you have a skill and are willing to help, please contact David Massey at demassey@comcast.net or call me at (765) 675-6302.
